Anyone else on here attending tomorrow's assessment day/interview for LRV Driver ?

Yesterday I received a letter from Metrolink, I have been invited to attend an assessment day/interview on 03/04/14 for LRV Driver.

I too attended yesterday's "Metrolink Recruitment Fair" I made an effort to say the least, day off work, 38 mile round trip, suit, CV, certificates, drivers licence, passport. I arrived at 11:00 expecting to at least sit down and have a personal chat maybe with someone from the company. Instead...

The Victoria and Blackpool ones have disappeared, Lime St is still there closing today.

I have not heard yet from FTPE following the Liverpool conductor interview I had.

Yes, I've received an email today and my application status has changed on First careers :D

Received a phone call today from First confirming my interview next week :D

Last week a number of us attended assessment/role play for FTPE trainee conductors at Lime St. We was told on the day whether we had been successful or not. I wondered has anyone received an invitation from First to attend interviews on 5th 6th 7th August.

I applied for FTPE trainee conductors at Liverpool Lime St and Manchester Piccadilly, a couple of days ago I got the knock back for Piccadilly but today I've been invited to assessments at liverpool on 23rd July. If successful there will be interviews either 5th 6th 7th August. :D

It's the end of the line for me :( I'm not kicking myself though as I am pleased with how far up the ladder I did get as this was my very first application for a railway type job :) Best of luck to all who are still in it, those positions will be well deserved.

Same here, I felt the last assessment date went well, I'm just glad I found this forum, it's becoming a bit of a daily obsession for me keep checking this thread as it's such an interesting informative read. This is my first railway type job application and so far I'm astonished by this...

I'm still waiting to hear too. At my last assessment 12/04/13 we was told we would have to wait 7 to 10 days for any news, well it's now 10 days. If successful I guess were all in the same boat having to arrange days off work etc etc etc at such short notice, fingers crossed we will all hear...

Fingers crossed it will be sooner rather than later just so we get to know our fate. So far we have not had much in the way of notice (5 days and 4 days notice for me) so I think at the earliest it will be the end of the week or more like early next week.
