You can actually get every module of the rule book online to view, the website is www.rgsonline.co.uk/rule_book/forms/live_documents.aspx give them a try, although part of your training is the full rule book and if you are not already familiar with the railway rule book you may find it daunting...

Ill be working out of newport AD junction. I had my medical on monday. Paul is having his medical tomorrow too. There will be no issues with my medical either as ive always had railway medicals. Im still waiting for the drug results mind but he did say up to 5 working days.

Its a 4 day week on valleys and a 5 day week on main line. All I can say is im glad to be on 66 engines rather than a nodding donkey (142/143) and I like not having to worry about passengers. The only traction used on the valley network now are the 121 bubble car which spends most of the summer...

Up until 18 months ago I worked the valleys but as a guard however I have a rough idea on the turns. Generally speaking you could be earlies, mid morning, mid afternoon, 5pm ish and nights, main line was pretty much the same. Expect to work all hours of the day and night.
