At the end of June this year, I tried to book something in Inverness but gave up due to the prices. Ended up booking a Travelodge in Aberdeen for less than half the price. The location wasn't a problem as I was using an ALR ticket.
Does anyone know why there isn't a Sunday service between Lostock Junction and Crows Nest Junction (Bolton to Wigan) before Christmas 2026?
Services are operating from Wigan Wallgate to Salford Crescent.
Of course, I could be wrong, but my info comes from checking on RTT as far as it has info available. I do travel through Salford Crescent, and it does look to be very much in the final " getting ready" stages and I expect it would normally be a timetable change type of introduction before we see...
Wow! I'd never heard of Tiger before; isn't it, well, wonderful!

Can I not turn up and go, as my journeys will be very flexible?
When a train is made up of more than one unit on RTT, is the direction of travel from the origin towards the right or left, or even random?
I did look for a help page on RTT but couldn't see one.

I do agree that it has excellent beers, including some guest offerings. Pricing, I thought, was similar to other on-station pubs.
I will be making my second visit next week.
The young lady (Northern Guard) who sold me the ticket folded my ticket and put it into a plastic folder, just showing the Aztec code, saying it should not need to be removed. It was removed a few times to be read, and a GWR Guard even scribbled across it in ink, why?
A couple of years ago, I bought a 14-day ALR 1st class ticket from a Northern Guard just so they could have the 5% commision. Sadly, the thermal printed ticket lost its ink after about 4 or 5 days. Thankfully, I had made a scanned copy on photo paper, which was accepted everywhere.
When I bought...
