Apparently according to Rail mag DRS have bought 3 DBSO`s from BARS 2 to go on hire to Northern for Cumbrian lines and the third for Anglia in the autumn. Now I thought they already had 2 with one ready for use but I could be wrong. Should be easy as the 37`s are through wired

Yes SWT it has changed I found the original tweet from Philip Haigh from Rail mag and it said 9 and the article said so when I first read it. Am glad am not going that gaga...(yet) Surprised there wasn't an HS2 reference there every other article seems to have one
Whoops sorry guys I obviously read the article wrong and now can't find it to look still 4 sets is enough to lose just because GTL are paying more it would seem Off to specsavers !
Just read in the Scotsman another 9 170`s are off down sarrrf for Govia Thames link but apparently there is enough loco hauled stock to cover reading this thread I am not convinced.com would be nice to get 2or 3 out east to displace the 153 "buses"
Funny you should ask that mate I was thinking the other day as to whether the heritage lines they keep on about opening up local community services would have to have their stock DDA and would you as a heritage want to keep using your old DMU's all the time when the 153's like we have here on...
