Agree with the majority of comments around McDs, BK, KFC, most of the time I will usually opt for McDs, most of my recent experiences with BK and KFC haven't been great; inefficient, dated premises etc. I watched an interesting film recently called 'The Founder' which paid particular attention...
I was there on Tuesday and had them asking me for change too!
With regards to the station though I quite like it and don't see the fuss with wanting to make everything plasticy and shiny with blinding lights! but that's just personal preference
At the moment I'm reading the new Lee Child book - A wanted man.
Before that I got into some of Dan Brown's novels (hard to put down!)
Not sure I could name one book as my favorite but Saturday by Ian McEwan would come close!
I've got quite a long 'to read list' but a few from that are...
Hello all, I've been trying to find flights from pretty much anywhere in the UK to Chicago O'Hare in July for ten days but haven't had any luck finding anything under £800.
I've not got much experience booking plane tickets and wondered if anybody had any tips of sites to use etc?
Also...
Indeed! I hope Weimann stays too, still in contract talks apparently, would be a mistake to let him go! http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-players-urge-andi-1754925
yep the 0850 southbound. The train indicator boards aren't working at Alnmouth yet, they just display the message about it being illegal to travel without a ticket.
I have a feeling they were working briefly not too long ago but I might be mistaken or thinking of somewhere else. The new lifts...
Thanks for all of the replies!
I was overall pleased with the service, boarded around 0900 and received the snack breakfast menu (toasted bacon sandwich) and plenty of tea and coffee so overall I was pleased
I still managed to attract the screaming child though (I think I'm a magnet for...
I'm travelling EC first class this Thursday
The only other first class I've used was XC and can't say I was overly impressed with that so I'm looking forward to trying EC, it always looks decent when going past in the station!
Does anybody know what food service etc I should be expecting...
not a website but I recently bought this book and have found it really useful:

Thanks for your help all, I've been playing around with it and I think I can book it now for around £52 compared to the £69 walk up fare. Alnmouth to Birmingham is all one train so a bonus but the Birmingham to Alnmouth involved a connection at York and going to Berwick then back down to...
I frequently travel between Alnmouth and Birmingham New Street, returning usually within about one week. I travel from Alnmouth anytime after 8am and usually return from New Street anytime after 5pm. I have a 16-25 railcard. I'm fairly flexible with times and routes. Any help would be much...
I've been looking over these for a while but am getting confused as to what would be best for a complete beginner. Trainz 2012 is just over £6 on steam and TS2013 is just over £17 on steam, any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
When on the train from Alnmouth to Newcastle today I thought I noticed a narrow gauge track a short distance before Morpeth station heading East, anybody know what it's for?
What is the target audience for this presentation?
Sorry I should have put that in the original post! The target audience are a group of co-workers, nothing to do with the rail industry the presentation is just a bit of practice at talking to groups etc.
