At the risk of helping you fry your laptop it must be said that these cleaners sockets you see GENERALLY are safe to use. My phone charger can operate from 100 volts upto 415 and has never fried (touch wood it never will). But check what voltage range your devices charger can take.

I know it's a little off topic but I restore vintage bicycles in my spare time and have had some great success with LED cluster lamps in place of the normal bulbs. BUT they look different, the colour is different, I wonder would that matter in a pres coach?

That's fair enough, I do agree with you in the sense that what I have is a large item of luggage and I am happy to have it treated as such. I don't see why mums with non folding pushchairs are treated higher than us when generally the kids aren't in them and they take up just as much space. So...
