Definitely my favourite the series, This one has been allot more informative loved the bits in craigentinny depot showing how they maintain the HST powercars and all that behind the scenes work we dont usually see.
Good to see a few familiar faces in the programme from East Coast, well done BBC...
Seen this often on East Coast with the HSTs and Electra's cab doors.
Now looking back it is seen in allot of my youtube videos with the door open, I understand on hot days it is an exception to have the cab door open gets pretty hot in there.
Favourite DMU has to the Class 156, comfy, quick and simple cant go wrong with that.
As for coaching stock it has to be the MK3 coach for me.
Quiet, comfortable, smooth ride and its a tough but simple design.
Cant compare it to anything else really its just a fantastic piece of kit even better...
Heard this one from a few Guards ... "Attention all passengers they will now be a routine ticket inspection please have your tickets, passes and good excuses at the ready please "
Ahaha its finally popped up, Ive got a friend who works at East Coast telling me about the BBC Crew filming, you will Probably see her on the programme, anyway I hope its good recent BBC Railway programmes have been very interesting :)
Thank you all again, learn something new everyday as they say well I now know for future travelling and bashing no messing about in the first class vestibules, unless your travelling first class of course ;)
thank you again.
Thank you for all your responses everyone, I still Dont know the situation on this First class boundary but it really does seem on the discretion of the guard at the end of the day, plus the way the sign is worded doesn't help at all, anyway Iam sure we will know in the future ;)
I Seen a video on youtube about a similar if not the same problem a while back, take a watch of this video by Intercity82

I Think this may be a similar problem to yours, have a try see and what happens.
From what I Have been told its a valve gear fault or something related to that.
The tour will be diesel hauled from Newcastle to York, 60009 will then takeover from York as planned.
Its the Weekend Travellers for me, The commuters are well behaved compared to the weekend lot, ive noticed since the Olympics especially the weekends are getting much busier mostly on the sundays.
Ahhh the joys of Specials and the People that just turn up for them ...
Here is a video I took awhile ago, it shows some of the Behaviour and points that have been Discussed in this Thread of "Spotters" and the way they act.

yes some people think they own the place and stand...
Maybes a quick Application of some Vinyl stickers on the EC Grey paint, all they have to do is take that Purple off, still it will be interesting to see what happens in the future.
