Thank you for your corrections. The Atlantic Coast Express was simply an oversight, with GWR having so many named trains I had simply missed adding it. The Mayflower however I had missed the Newquay connection completely so much I much appreciate the correction.

I can’t say I have done extensive research on the subject, but I have to say each time I have gone down to the line the Avanti trains have been on time, and likewise when checking on RTT.

i think it was just the way I worded it. I was trying to explain that with passengers trains these are, within reason, guaranteed to run. It is not the same with freight timetables with many of the paths timetabled never used or used so intermittently you never know from one day to the next...

If you mean since the Northern Rail network began, then no. The LNER named trains use certain sections of it such as The West Riding Limited to and from Bradford Forster Square, and most of the LNER named trains at some point run over sections used by Northern Trains but not mostly or wholly.
