It has been said that there was a Union meeting tonight with regards to the closure of Dundee depot, and it has been confirmed by the Union that the depot is indeed being closed. It has been reported on various sources, so assume it to be true. Bad choice, Stagecoach.
Have been reliably informed by Dougie King that all ES buses now have RTI systems fitted. Although from personal experience, the system doesn't appear to be working at the minute!!!
So regarding the new Tayway hybrids, I travelled on 13048 this morning and 13045 this afternoon. The bus was silent when I boarded, the bus departed my stop and went into diesel mode with a slight judder after around 10mph. It takes a little while to get used to that.
The bus itself is very...
As Jamie has already quoted, 13046 and 13048 are in service on the 73 today. It also appears that many more entered on the 73 'mid-shift' later on in the day.
Many thanks to Jamie for the tip-off on a local bus forum; and Jamie the bus driver for the acknowledgement.
See attached for my...
Actually, they never left. And you should know that as Mr King told you that! :D
Can anyone on here confirm the following please
Is the launch for the Hybrid buses 10am-4pm or 11am-4pm
And will the new Hybrid buses go into service after the event on Monday 25th May or the following...
The logic is that if the Tayway E400s go down, they won't come back as we are due Hybrids (next month?). If the buses were from anywhere else, they'd need to be returned therefore double the mileage is consumed.
Thank you! I read it was 19656, 64 & 68 (collection due today) that are going with 19370 and 15945 replacing but please don't quote me on this!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
I was on 19656 without a ticket machine this morning, its been replaced BT 15945 on Tayway 73.
I believe that 3 East Scotland Enviro 400s going on their holidays soon; off to Sheffield for Supertram replacement work. I also believe that these 3 won't return.
They will be temporarily covered by 1 E400 from West and 1 E400 from North Scotland until the Hybrids arrive.
Unfortunately...
Sorry to take a rage, but there was no need for that question as you got a perfectly valid answer from Douglas King, the East Scotland Commercial Manager not so long ago!
