Well done mate...bet your well buzzing!, I know I was.
I have just started this week with an induction for 3 days which was good but the real fun starts next week at the Driver training academy.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else on here is starting the FCC induction (3 days) at Kentish Town on the 26th of June?.
It would be good to hear from any fellow new entrants, especially Trainee train drivers.:p
Will do ash39 and good luck yourself, its a long process but defo worth the waiting.

Thanks SPADTrap its nice to know that people on this forum are genuinely rooting for each other!.
After 12 months in the talent pool and 18 months after my initial application I have been given a start date with FCC in June as a trainee train driver.I have just passed my medical and may be jumping the gun a bit as obviously I have crb and reference checks yet, but shouldn't be a problem.
I...
Yes at present me, I have been sitting in a holding pool with FCC for close to a year now, despite me pestering them constantly alway's seems to be the same answer "we are waiting for training managers to give us dates of next intakes for training courses",which I believe there have been 2 in...
I just recieved this from first group with regards the attachment they asked us to fill in which is aimed at qualified drivers.
Thank you for your application for the position of Trainee Train Driver [First TransPennine Express] at Various Locations with First.
Please disregard the ATOC...
Frontosa thanks for your reply and good luck with your assessments!.
I managed to apply on the closing date which I think was the the 7th dec by post special delivery but haven't anything yet which isn't unusual for toc's I guess I will find out in the next few weeks or so.
I have passed...
I have been in a holding pot having passed all assessments since March 2012.
It does seem strange, if the rumours are true that they are recruiting externally again as I know there are quite a few of us in Holding pots.
Surely it makes sense to contact everyone and put them through there...
Hi Beveridges,Wow, now I am seriously biting my nails!.Was any of the two applications you didn'y hear anything back from part of the First group Toc?.
Hi Gareth,I am pretty sure there are some assessments happening in April as I have seen other members post's on this forum.I would give HR a call and enquire about your application on hold...it might just jog there memory!.Good luck.
Good Luck Panch on your assessment. As for me there was no mechanical test,my advice would be to stay calm during the assessments and don't be afraid to ask for help before the assessment starts. They will explain how to attempt each assessment obviously without giving you the answers,I say this...
W230 congratulations,Have they given you a date for medical as well then?.I haven't heard anything as yet so fingers cross I get a call soon.
Bezzer thanks for your advice it all helps.
Hi W230, and congrats mate.Yes fingers crossed we have made it this far so Hopefully a Good outcome.
The thing is it was hard enough waiting for news during all the applications and interviews, and now to be put into a Holding pot its difficult to stop the negativity creeping in.Anyways cheers...
Hi Panch, and thank you.
I applied for Kings cross and I know that the next intake was in April which I presume is filled, hence being put into a holding pot.
But I know there is another intake set for June, so maybe they are doing the assessments and interviews for that one now, which I hope is...
