When the new tests were in the process of being introduced 8 drivers at my depot were asked if they would be guinea pigs and take them for statistical purposes only (not recorded on national database) Of the 8, 6 were pre Psychometric testing (before 1988,I think) All had excellent safety...

Last time about Twenty months ago mate, each time I received a notification from First my status changed to, Waiting to invite to I interview, then as said either, vacancy on hold or reapply as timed out, as I said before best of luck if thats your aspiration.

Just a supplement to what has already been said, I actually applied for the position a total of 3 times, each time I appeared to pass the initial sifting with email replies along the lines of, waiting for invite to interview or assessment, but each time after 6 months or so this timed out...

Good luck to all of you though I would add OOC Depot employs shunters under the title, Yard Team Members, not Shunter/Fuellers.

No worries ste, I only gave you the advice because as it stands no-one else offers the tests privately anymore.

To ste, apologies if this comes across as rude but I am going to say it as it is. These threads contain differing opinions from people but in the main everyone tries to help one another. You have asked for advice as to taking the PSYCHOMETRIC tests privately. I have posted on this thread TWICE...

Hi STE, I have tried to help you!!. Rail operations Group, they have a website. If you want to do it privately than access that and get the info you need to take it from there.

Hi, I am led to believe there is a company called the Rail Operations Group that allow you do take the tests privately. You would have to check out their website or call them to find out about costs ect. As for their reputation, I know nothing, maybe others on here can help.
