For me it is the space saver toilets on the 745/755 FLIRTs, as soon as you open the door you are pretty much on the loo. Very little room to manoeuvre, even less if you have a bag with you. The only exception to the rule of these space savers are the First Class ones on the Intercity sets...
Been looking at 170208 on RTT for the past week and it hasn't shown any allocation. After looking on Rail-Record it shows that 170208 went off to Crofton depot on Monday 31st August and went back to Derby Etches Park on Saturday 5th September.
Anyone got any gen on why 170208 went to Crofton...
Another one I found in the archives while looking for something else, once again an EMT 158 at Norwich going somewhere that I doubt has been visited by 158865.

Back in 2017, I got a picture of 158813 at Norwich showing the destination of Keith. The previous service it had worked was from Lowestoft when Greater Anglia borrowed an East Midlands 158 in the morning.
Back in July when leaving Crewe on a pair of 730/2s there was an announcement from the guard when we were pulling out of the station stating that large cases shouldn't be put in the overhead racks instead in the racks at the ends of the carriage due to instances in the past of the trains...
It seems The Railway Magazine has started to do something similar called "AI Watch" which shows an image found online that is seen to be completely unrealistic.
@enginedin Thank you for sharing this with us, this game is quite the brainteaser.
I got my guess today (9th Aug) in 5 guesses, won't give away the answer in case anyone else is trying to figure it out still but I went completely in the opposite direction to the correct station.
I am interested in why 170270 has been OOU since October last year and also where are EMR hiding it cause I haven't seen it at either Nottingham Eastcroft or Derby Etches Park unless its permanently parked in a shed at either of the depots?
745106 was involved with a one under at Meridian Water back in March, the unit is long termed stopped pending repairs to the cab and parts that have been robbed from it have been replaced.
I grew up playing GTA 3, Vice City & San Andreas on the PS2 and when it was announced that GTA 6 was going to be based in Vice City I was really looking forward to it cause Vice City was always my favourite of the trilogy, still play it to this day for a 80s nostalgia trip.
I will buy GTA 6...
Posted today on LinkedIn from Crewe which means it should hopefully be back in traffic very shortly. I wonder which will go next as it seems rather odd that 170112-170117 have been done, 170111 has been missed out and they have gone back to doing the 3 carriage 170s again.
Birmingham International was busy yesterday with staff advising passengers to go to Birmingham New Street and walking to Birmingham Moor Street for Chiltern services to Marylebone or taking Arriva CrossCountry towards Oxford/Reading and heading towards London Paddington.
The LNWR services that...
I will second that one. Last year a friend and I stayed in Crewe for the week and we decided on one of them days we would go off and do our own thing. So I jumped a 197 to Chester and then did the Merseyrail into Liverpool, after two more trips I got everything I needed except 777004 which I...
A question based on observation that I have noticed on the refurbished EMR 170s.
On the 13th April, I did 170501 from Nottingham to Derby and yesterday I did 170505 both of which are refurbished and for some reason after leaving Spondon the automated announcement says that the next station is...
