I saw a new Metro at Pallion yesterday (Saturday). Can I ask if this is now the norm? I thought they didn't opperate new Metros at weekend! Are they now in opperation on a nightime too?
And also, can some body tell me how many new Metros are now in service. Thanks.
They've got to preserve 4001!! Its the only surviving prototype.
I see Stadler 500028 has entered service according to info I have recieved, so I wonder if 4010 and 4040 have their funerals arranged!!
Something needs to change! Trains full of litter, people punching door buttons before the train stops, feet on seats, as well as infrastructure failures with a potential to overcharge honest paying passengers!
I hope I am not breaking the rules on this forum by posting this reply, but we all...
I arrived back at Pallion at 23.30 to see that one of the vallidaters was blanked off, and the other had a white screen, of which I had tried using.
I got in touch with Metro and was told "don't worry, you will be charged until the end of service"!
Its like me saying "don't worry, I'm not paying...
It seems like they are scrapping these Metros faster than they are introducing the new ones into service.
Has there been any recent deliveries of new trains?
It certainly looks like a fast changing situation!!
I saw that! Plus the one that is going to Stevensons!

I was so hot on a 599 this afternoon that I nearly passed out!!
Plus, it appears that it has had a major oil spill.
I didn't get the fleet number as I alighted at Millfield. Metro must have really reduced the care and maintainance...
I would love to know how big Beamish could grow! I first visited in 1971 and there was a big field, a couple of old shops, and the building that is now the hotel! Not forgetting the digger and mettal press that is now part of the entrance.
I don't know about the 1980s section, but they said that that any Metro train would be a refurbed unit! I would love if they could fitt he faux wood vinia that used to be on the lower sides benieth the windows.
I was at Beamish museum yesturday where I asked if a Metro train is going to be preserved there. They wearn't sure.
Can anyone on here shed any light on the possibily??
Nice to see 5550003 on the green line today.
I went to Monument from Pallion, and got back on the same train coming home.
I didn't know 003 had entered service! The new trains have a far calmer attmosphere!

Not a lot of people seem to know that you can press the door button well...
You put your point across better than I did. I couldn't agree more with your final sentence! I've just lost patiance and I am lost for words these days!!
