That's good to know mate. I had wondered about that but also tried calling on Friday so just returned everything that was there. To your question a few posts back. I'm in the centre of Manchester so yep, lift sharing once we know what's going on with the training could be an idea :)

It's all getting very exciting isn't it! I didn't get a phone call but caved in and called them. She confirmed the paperwork is in the post today :) Big relief as I was starting to think I wouldn't have a job in 4 weeks! Lol

I think the new pay deal takes the basic salary to just over £25k.

No, but my current employment contract stipulated a 3 month notice period! Luckily they waived that to the 7 weeks :) And happily everything went well with the medical. Phew! They haven't stated where the training will be yet.

I'm getting a bit nervous for my medical my tomorrow now, not that there's any reason to as I know it'll all come back fine. It's just having to tell my employer and hand my notice in already, because of my notice period, it's a bit nerve racking! Has everyone had any paperwork through then? Oh...

Metrolink - 17 FEB 12 Additional Drivers Reqd

There's that many applicatants that it could easily be 4 or 5 weeks before you hear back, especially if you are successful as you'll need to be allocated to an assessment day. Just keep being patient, even if it does feel like a loooong time :)

Didn't someone say wait 6 months after assessments? lol I know there were a considerable number of applicants this time round - up on the last round - so it's possible they might be trying fresh candidates first. Afterall, I wouldn't have thought those assessment days are too cheap to run...

Metrolink - 17 FEB 12 Additional Drivers Reqd

When I applied in the last round I made sure I covered skills, experience and qualities. It is a lot to try and cram in so you'll have to group them up a bit to fit it in the word count! I'm 99% sure that you need a Cat B (car) driving licence to operate a tram on the street (in fact I'm...

They beat me to it in the end last week. I've had my start date brought forward to Feb 27th, pending the outcome of my medical this Friday. I'm just crossing everything now for the medical, as it feels like the last hurdle. I'm 99% sure I shouldn't have anything to worry about, but sod's law...

Hey everyone who's through and started, I was just wondering how long you had to wait for your medicals? I know I'm probably just being impatient, but it's getting on for 4 weeks since I got my letter now, so I'm itching to get it out the way. Oh and cheers for all the 'well dones' on the last...

Yeah I was also going to suggest you give them a call to confirm. I would be very surprised if it did count though, as they aren't an actual TOC and they don't do all the tests that are required of TOCs, just some of them.
