Do we think Wednesday's announcement will have any effect on the workings of the task force in light of the fact that no specific mention was made about Manchester capacity in the alternative schemes. Also when is work supposed to start on the third platform and turnbacks.

The planning docs indicate that the Liverpool bound platform can fully accommodate a 6 car train but the Manchester bound only five and a half. How does that fit with a 6 car 323

Stalybridge already has a turn back for Victoria This was put in in 2012 platform 5. Platform 2 can also be used as a turn back for Piccadilly or Victoria but is probably too short for the future. I am therefore puzzled As to what is going to be done.
