The battery locos (BL1, BL2 and BL3) are all being refurbished, so those will be used again from 2028. There is also a rumour that Nexus will be hiring third-party locos in for the 2027 RHTT.
With the Airport line closure, green line trains that would usually go to Airport are instead running Not In Service from South Gosforth to Monkseaton and back. I believe there was also driver training running NIS today.
From the sounds of it, it would just be whatever trains show up, which would almost certainly be entirely Class 555. If it were to do with metrocars, then the run from Northumberland Park to Ashington would be particularly strange!
That farewell tour was booked for a date that ended up being during the major line closure due to concerns about the Gateshead flyover, which is why it didn't go ahead. I've heard rumours about there being other reasons Nexus no longer want to facilitate a BLS tour, too. Whenever someone asks...
Nexus only published the timetables just over an hour ago. A summary was posted elsewhere, but I'm not sure what the original source for that was which is why I didn't share that version lol.

Beamish are no longer able to take it. Nexus have publicly confirmed that a metrocar will be going to a different museum instead, although they haven't yet confirmed if it is still 4020 or which museum it will be going to. However, the latest rumours are that it is still 4020 and it is now going...
Nexus has now confirmed to the Local Democracy Reporting Service that a couple metrocars might be retained for the RHTT.

To be clear, this isn't confirmation that they will, and I believe negotiations...
There's a couple links at the bottom of the first post to communities where a number of people track allocations posted  Obligatory note though that I am an admin of one of those communities, so take that as you will.
Beamish are no longer able to take it, and it will be going to a different museum that has yet to be named instead. This was (finally...) confirmed by LDRS on Tuesday, such as in this Chronicle article.
I don't see why length would be the issue. Metro have successfully operated 4x 555s coupled together out on the network for a delivery, and 3x 555s coupled together for a rescue during service hours, so 2x 555s plus the RHTT wagon (MA06) should theoretically be fine.
There is also an adapter...
Yes, you can see the majority of both depots (excluding inside sheds and anything hidden behind trains) from public places. The green is easily accessible on foot, and the blue is where you can see inside the depot from the adjacent line. The red in the Howdon one I believe is technically a...
All of those should have been in Gosforth Depot all of today
555002 was last in service on Monday
555007 was last in service on Sunday
555022 hasn't started daylight testing yet
555023 started daylight testing on Tuesday
555025 hasn't started daylight testing yet
555032 was last in service on...
So far, I've been told that 4035+4024 are on T130, but there's been two out on each line the past couple days so there's probably more than just the one out today
Edit: Now been informed that no metrocars were allocated this morning. T130 failed early in the morning so 35+24 were not the...
