i remeber years ago when Stagecoach ran the 35a shuttle from Chapeltown to the thorncliffe estate ,then Yorkshire Tiger ran the service until they pulleed out of south yorkshire ,then powells and Cawthorne;s running the route and now stagecoach have the route back for now
i think TM will survive after franchising ,the 218 service is a commercial route and wont be affected plus their school work in derbyshire and the flixbus work will be enough to keep Halfway depot open (unless Wellglade decide to pull out_
i thin
Cant see TM Travel surviving to be honest ,they are already starting to lose tendered work (they lose the M44.M45 and M55 services to newcomers SMT from the end of the month)

Shame that Hulleys end like this ,I've had a lot of good days out on their buses over the years ,not only in Derbyshire but also on trips to Manchester on their X57 Snake service, fingers crossed that their drivers and engineering staff that keep their fleet on the road

You are lucky to see any spotters at my local station anymore (Sheffield) even at a weekend ,yet a decade ago there were a good few turning up to do a bit of spotting ,you still get a good few platform enders at Doncaster but even that number has dwindled
I went for class 91 ,had lots of great journeys up and down the east coast over the last few years ,hate the horrid Hitachi units that have more or less taken over ,dreading when MML Hitachi's take over from the meridians as at least they have a comfortable seat unlike the hard ones on the Azumas
