That's a whole other debate in terms of my ticket. Weeklies on smartcard seem to work fine for my journey through Stratford, but the tfl barriers appear to dislike my anytime single smartcard purchases in both directions, and the barrier staff are the same.
Paper is the 'medium of least...
Hi all
A colleague buys a weekly season ticket from Grantham to London Terminals via Peterborough - £289.00. The ticket information LNER give says:
7 Day Season Ticket
Fare category: open
Season Tickets allow unlimited travel between two stations for a specified period of time. Season Tickets...
Almost all being loaded via the app. Booking office tickets I bought this week have worked fine. App-loaded have strangely been hit and miss, oth entering and exiting Stratford.
Yes, that was one part of my original question. I was hoping someone could point me to where this is documented, as LU staff haven't known this when I've used stickers to get through Liverpool St LU barriers.
Afraid that takes me longer and leaves me further from my destination.
Appreciate the help.
So somewhere in the can of worms, can anyone categorically say this is a valid route, and if so, under what rule(s)? Is it because Stratford Int and domestic are part of a group?
Will certainly give the supervisor a try. Interestingly I bought exactly the same ticket...
On the interavailability question, it's not that the ticket won't work. I have an eticket that I'm showing the barrier staff, that says London Terminals to Gravesend via High Speed. They deny me entry and I'm trying to tell them it's valid because of interavailability.
Thanks. Yes, I can also understand staff not knowing, which is why ideally I'd be able to carry something that explains it.
On interavailability, if I come across staff who don't know, again I'd like to be able to point them somewhere. But I can't find this rule published anywhere.
Hey all
Seem to be having more problems than ever on my commute. I travel Gravesend - Stratford International (on foot to) Stratford (London) - London Liverpool Street.
Two issues:
1. Not sure if something has changed in the last few weeks, but I'm encountering barrier issues. I haven't...
It's normal commuting, so before the Railcard validity in the morning and during validity in the afternoon.
I'm sure I'm the same as 99% of commuters (which season tickets are generally catering for) in doing one journey in the morning and one in the afternoon. Using a ticket more than once in...
I know you're looking for UK only, but one of the best views I've had is from the Tivoli Gardens hotel in Copenhagen. The north side of the north tower sits alongside the tracks into Copenhagen. Can't find a photo right now! But there are a ton of different trains (I'm no expert). The kids loved it!
Out of interest, if you purchase something like this, could you still change at Stratford and head to Liverpool Street? Is that still a permitted route, given you wouldn't be travelling on a Gravesend to London Terminals ticket?
When I purchased monthlies I would always buy from a Monday to the Friday after 1 month later. Worth doing if you don't use the ticket on weekends as it saves you up to 24 days a year. Can also work out cheaper than annual if you know all your holidays.
I did buy a couple of flexi tickets...
I just came back from the Stockholm to Hamburg service last week. Yes, I also read a bunch of terrible Trustpilot reviews. A lot of them seem to be around aftercare following cancellations, or missed connections (which I don't have too much sympathy for with a night train).
My experience was...
