New web site is absolutely crap as compared with the old one, its hard work when you want to look at forthcoming engineering works. Why can,t they leave things alone, some things work Ok for years before some idot comes along and changes things and often no longer works properly.
As long as freight trains don,t breakdown and stop the job as what happened last time I travelled while doing midweek engineering blocks on the ECML mail line.
If I remember rightly it was 7 free passes a year and as many priv tickets that you wanted to pay for at quarter normal fare. Also quarter fare on London Underground too and one or two other perks like shipping / ferries too.
Look at York on LNER that,s not in full view like it used to be, ticket offices don,t bring in rent revenue and a percentage of the takings like shops etc do.
It didn,t seem to work for me , will have to try again.

I tried it and all it gave me was this weeks, I was looking for 19 Aug 2023 for Northern Trains and got nothing, will someone else try it out and see what they get?
How do you find future engineering work disruptions on this new crap site? It was easy on old one and worked perfectly, go down put date in and TOC,s area and bingo whats happening. If this the future of this site God help us.
So was the bright idea of having possession on East Coast Main line Tuesday (16th.) & Wednesday (17th.) instead of a weekend a success? I went with LNER Doncaster to Kings Cross Tuesday morning, it was OK and I knew we had the extra time to do the detour.
Returning from Kings Cross about 18-30...
The only platforms on the North side was Platforms 1 & 2 as was before re-numbering ( now station car park under station roof ) and horse dock which is where B.T Police office is now on that side in the Interchange. The only other siding was the carriage sidings in them days. On what was...
Lumo was lucky and used Hull trains units to teach there staff on as at the time they was running a reduced timetable due to Covid and had spare stock. It also helped with it been another First Rail company.
All the O8s that I had any dealings with had whistles and never seen one with a horn . Some of the 08s was ex 90 volt LNER ones complete with whistles.
Engineering work jobs pick up the tab for rail replacement work services, where by strike days it would be the train operating company would have to pick up the bill for transport. They don,t have to provide any cover for strike action.
They also used to operate at times in North Lincolnshire from Appleby Frodingham works through to Normanby Park works, most of the journey was on the works railway execpt one section between Crosby Mines Signal Box and Normanby Park South Signal Box on B.R. tracks. The trains was also operated...
So is Crescent House the Portacabin office block behind the station? I thought this was just while they built the extra platforms and associated work in that area. Is it temporary or has it become permanent fixture.
That looks like it might be platforms 4 & 5 as the track does look very old especially with short lengths and two hole fishplates and very contaminated ballast if thats what its supposed to be laid on. It looks like it never been relaid for years.
No trains in or out of Hull Paragon due to renewing the rails in Platforms 4 & 5 for starters and may be installing new buffer stops in Platorms 2 & 3 and bring back into use Platform 1. Track in platforms 4 & 5 is old bullhead rail with 2 hole fish plates in parts and in certain parts its...
