Didn't help that Truss then disappeared for a few days, possibly hiding under the desk. The Local BBC News interviews she did upon resurfacing were quite entertaining ...
2016: Chesterfield station used to have a message on their display screens for people playing Pokemon Go (it was that years craze, several people I worked with used to go out at lunch to catch them ...), telling them to be aware of their surroundings and not to walk onto the track :s...
In 2018 Doncaster station had a large number of trains that were travelling to their destination via #itscominghome
(there's also a TPE Cleethorpes train unusually on time in that shot)
Doncaster station has zones, every time I've been out on an LNER service in the last few years there's been quite a lot of people who still manage to stand in the wrong place :|
occasionally there's announcements to move down the platform, Platform 3 is usually the one where this happens...
Done a few in the last couple of years, quite often near railway stations. All of them ok for the price, small issues mentioned
Woking Travelodge (01/2025) - just over £200 for 4 nights, booked 1 month before, over the road from the station (I didn't get a station view though). Sunday dinner...

Good job they picked a slow news day to reveal this ;)
Has there been anyone - seriously, not the people on the google maps reviews - ever who claims to remember seeing Prince Andrew in the Pizza Express in Woking? Even if they couldn't remember the date seeing a minor Royal would surely be the...
There was one particular guard on TPE pre-Covid who used to be bad for that; to the level of duplicating the automated announcements straight afterwards. Once got on at Sheffield and between him and the automated announcements there was hardly any gap in them both between the train arriving in...
Nothing major, a couple of high speed overtakes that came into my path, both narrow misses even with me slowing down, certainly were going fast enough to cause some serious damage in a head-on collision.
A near miss when cycling a few years back, high speed overtake of me, not leaving very much...
Was on 333005 out of Doncaster yesterday at 13:26, or 13:30 by the time it left ...
A noticably very much slower departure from the platform than usual, followed by it coming to a halt just after leaving the platform. Power then went out and we were sat for about 15 minutes with no air con...
