Split Season Ticket

I think this is right! But I'm hoping someone can just clarify my logic for me. and also help those like me who have spent the last hour googling for a simple answer! I am about to buy a season ticket from Stoke-on-Trent to London (plus zones 1-6) It is cheaper to buy two season tickets...
