Can I break my journey from Bedford to London on a Travelcard

Some advice please. Want to travel from Bedford to Borehamwood in the morning, spend two hours there, then resume my journey towards another meeting in London on the same afternoon, returning about 6pm on the same day. Would I be allowed to do that if I purchased an Anytime Day Travelcard?
