I'm trying to find out how many locos and rakes of coaching stock were required to run the service before 159s were introduced. Class 33/47/50s were mainly used with mark 2/and even some TC stock were used. 22 159s were introduced so half that number possible?
Does anyone know?
I have been told by a northern employee that 2 class 333 have been scrapped( I think withdrawn) can anyone find out or comfirm this? I Know there are issues with 009 and has been at Derby but also another 333 might have the same issue
Now the new Depot at Feltham is underway for the class 701 what will now be the future of Wimbledon Depot as all its allocated classes will be withdrawn over the next few years. What will Wimbledon's work involve?
I thought it might be good to open a new discussion on these classes as they will be replaced over the next few years (classes 455-458) and the future of networkers emu and that these classes future are uncertain.
Anything can be discussed about them on future or withdrawal etc. Possible...
Does anyone have any imformation on why the Class 144 is being allocated to Heaton?
Are they going to be in service in the North East for a short while?
I believe Heaton drivers are being trained and signed for these units.
