Freedom Travelpass (Bristol)

Does anyone know how long the Freedom Travelpass is going to last in Bristol? At the moment this gives very reasonable travel on bus and train services throughout the (former) Avon area. However a guard told me last week that its changing with 4 zones rather than 3 and consequently higher...
