Hiya,
Not sure if ive missed something but Ive gone back to taking the train from Brookwood to Guildford after a stint of driving into work.
My week ticket cost £33.20 (covering 7 days of travel)
Out of curiosity, I checked a ticket machine for a peak return to Guildford that day and it...
:-xCycling to work has got to be one of the most environmentally friendly methods possible, and saves a fortune in travel costs. In this 'Green' crazy world we now live you'd think companies would be falling over themselves to be seen promoting support for environmentally friendly customers and...
Hi all,
A little notice so that you know what is coming hopefully today.
So for those that like to 'Back Up' do so soon.

This is sparked by a graphic in what some like to call 'Liar' but bear with me, as I think its an interesting discussion.

Looking at the competition and other images dotted around the Europeanbahn Website, it looks like they are set to release High Speed One from St Pancras at least to the Channel Tunnel. Not sure if they will cross into France or carry on through to Lille or Paris.

Saw this pic and it got me thinking. http://www.trainpics.net/p62111415.html
How fast would a train need to go to 'jump' the rails?
Are there other sharp gradient changes around the UK?
Cheers

Hiya,
Cna anyone point me towards details about what and why the Class 444 and 450 units make the high pitched whining sound?
Im looking to recreate or record these sounds and want to know what causes them to occur.
Cheers
Does anyone know about developments of Free WiFi for SouthWestTrains?
I was on a train coming back from London last night, checked my Ipod to change the music I was listening to and realised I was connected to a WiFi network. At first I thought it was someone else on the train with a laptop...
Dapol have produced an exclusive set of Class 67+DVT models in N-Gauge that are being sold only from the onboard WSMR trains.
Not entirely sure if its a dummy set or if the Class 67 is powered, but thought I would give a heads up to anyone interested.
I could have sworn I recently saw somewhere, a HTA wagon repainted into DB Schenker Red, in relation to DBS targeting some new freight market.
Anyone else seen this?
It could have been in Liar.....
Anyone know whats going on at Woking Down Yard, the virtual quarry they have setup there.
They are gradually making a rather large concrete base at the west end, next to the Portsmouth line junction.
Is this for a new site office maybe? Replacing or moving the one built from many a...
Can anyone confirm if the amazing slant in the mock and designs of the Class 380 Desiro is actually serious?
It looks far to unlikely to operate I would have thought.
