Fare Evasion - Out of date season ticket

I was wondering if someone could offer me some advice/reassurance? My monthly season ticket ran out on 21st July, I didn't realise and subsequently used it for the remainder of the week between Bolton and Darwen (replacement buses) it was checked by ticket inspectors at Bolton for 3 days, none...
