It appears that since the beginning of August on saturdays there has been an untimtabled Elizabeth Line service to Slough leaving Paddington Elizabeth line at 0014 and starting its journey at Abbey Wood at 2344.
The Abbey wood service normally runs, but instead terminates at Paddington...
9 people to run a single train up and down a branch line seems a lot in the long term. I wonder if gwr plan on rolling this out to their other unelectrified branch lines if successfull in Greenford
Slough to Windsor is probably doable with these trains
During the overnight new years eve service on the Elizabeth line. There appeared to be a high amount of dead running (and rolling stock utilisation required for this)
You had trains terminating at Hayes, running ECS to Maidenhead carriage sidings and then back to Hayes again to go back in...
During the disruption at Twyford this morning, someone came upto me with a paper ticket to Heathrow and asked how to get there. The Elizabeth line services that were not cancelled were skipping Hayes and Southall so I advised him to go to Ealing Broadway and catch a train there.
Would this have...

Can they use GwR services into paddington?
I was at Paddington yesterday when there was an passenger incident blocking the GWML. They were announcing that tickets were accepted on SWR from Waterloo to Reading and to Oxford from Marylebone. Would you be able to use your contactless card from London Waterloo to Reading in those circumstances?

It passed Hayes & Harlington a minute and a half late and...

If all the franchises are being run as concessions it would make sense to have a single publically owned point dmdoibg the branding , marketing retailing and customer service keeping them along franchise lines no longer makes sense from a customer service and efficency perspective.
Given the current crisis should the conditions of carriage of public transport operators be modified to reflect the governments advise on non essential travel on public transport?
A condition in the contract could state something similar to " During National and local emergencies travel would...
With the announcement that Heathrow Terminal 4 is to close. Would this mean that rail services that currently serve terminal 4 being diverted to terminal 5?
I was going through Stratford today and there was a sticker on the side reader of the eastbound tfl rail platform (next to the central line), the sticker said.
"London Terminals tickets not valid from this station"
My understanding is they are given that Liverpool Street Is a London terminal.
Sometimes when purchasing advances for a specific GwR service they include the clause any reasonable connecting GwR service to xxx station.
For example an advance from Hayes would allow you to get on any train to Reading that allows you to get your timed advance from Reading to say Bristol...
