Watching the age of the train programme the other night, the APT seemed so close to being accepted. If it had worked how would the UK train landscape be different today do we think.

It appears only the Suburban and Underground / DLR Platforms have canopy's given the usage ( particularly over the olympic period ) this would seem to be an oversight. Is anyone aware why platforms 9 and 10 were left out ?

Given all of the legislation around accessability, it would seem to me that the biggest restriction is the gap between train and platform, has there been any work done in regard to standardising platform and / or train heights to allow step free access ?
