    FGW HST with mismatched power car?

    I saw an FGW HST going North out of Bristol between Filton and Patchway this afternoon, which appeared to have the leading power car in a silver-grey livery. Anyone know what and why, or was it just the heat messing with my brain?

    Bristol - London - Brighton - with a bike!

    I'm considering a little excursion to London on Saturday 8th of June, and then to Brighton the next day - with a bike! Ideally I would have liked to stay in Brighton for the night, but checking online all B&Bs etc seem to be all booked that night so I thought somewhere halfway like Crawley...

    Old DMU in Bristol

    Going past Bristol Temple Meads today, I noticed what looked like an old 1st-gen DMU in BR blue at the platform, didn't have time to stop and check it out. Anyone know what it was? (Mods - feel free to move this to Preservation & Heritage if you think it belongs there)
