Ejected for an expired railcard 2 years ago - now £600+ earnings order

I resent the implication from some members on here that I was attempting to dodge the fare or "trying it on" knowing my Railcard was expired. This was not the case. Also, my attitude was fine. I didn't even know at the time that I had the right to then pay the fare in full, or that the onus was...

Ejected for an expired railcard 2 years ago - now £600+ earnings order

It didn't occur to me that they would. Please re-read my first post. I assumed being thrown off the train and having to pay again for a ticket to get home was punishment enough. Hi there. Yes, the Railcard was out of date and clearly wasn't valid, which is fair enough. No, I didn't mention that the address was out of date. I wasn't even aware that my address was being noted down. I was focused on avoiding being handed to the police, so the prospect didn't even occur to me.

Ejected for an expired railcard 2 years ago - now £600+ earnings order

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to read this. In 2016 I was thrown off a train in England before my destination station for trying to use an advance ticket with an expired railcard (a genuine mistake). I was not given the opportunity to pay a new fare (I ended up having to pay another £80 to...
