Got caught with fake ticket :( pls advise

I KNOW I AM IDIOT PLS FORGIVE ME!! I been caught with a fake MasterTravel ticket a month a go and received a letter stating to reply back explaining the reasoning. In addition it says, i will be recorded as "criminal record" This is the worst that can happen to me :( that would be the end...
