Is there any reasons why this evening I have received a number of e mails concerning "Your RailUK Christmas Card 2010"?
I cannot find any post of mine under this topic, what is going on.
I haven't posted anything on this forum for a very long time and cannot find anything about the above item...
The photo in the link at the start of this thread is one of mine, it is indeed the set which was tested on the GER from the summer of 1975 until the end of January 1976. After this it was tried on the LT&S for some months. Sadly I never saw it on the LT&S, even though it was within walking...
As it is one of my late father's photos I can confirm the date is corrrect - he always catalogued his photos as son as they came back from the slide processors.

I can remember trying to make journeys using British Rail in the 60s and 70s - usually dirty(often filthy) coaches (that's inside as well as outside), frequent cancellations...
