Likely loading of Settle and Carlisle on Sunday?

Just planning how I get down to London this Sunday (ECML is shut between Doncaster and Northallerton and I don't do rail replacement buses). The "sensible" way is just take Northern Hexham-Carlisle and get on the Avanti. The "silly" way involves Crewe-Derby. The "most likely to get delay repay that isn't the silly" way involves Manchester. But I'm thinking to myself I haven't been on the Settle and Carlisle in a while so why not consider via Leeds as the "scenic" way. Which is all a very long winded way of asking - how busy is the Settle and Carlisle, particularly the 1520 and 1607 services likely to be this Sunday?

They both ran as 4 cars this Sunday just gone. Assuming they do again, you should be fine. If it’s 2 carriages though it could be busy. If you’re flexible though, just use RealTimeTrains on the day to check the formations and go for the one with more carriages :) Even if it were 2 carriages from Carlisle you would stand a good chance of getting a decent seat, but it could get busier as the train progresses South. The weather currently looks bad enough to deter most hikers though.

Thanks, that's good enough for me to have booked :)
