I've been working on a project called Lineside, a community-driven website for discovering and sharing railway photography locations across Britain and Ireland.
I've previously tried something similar through Facebook groups, but quickly found that Facebook was too limited for what I wanted to achieve. Information gets buried in posts, locations aren't particularly easy to search for, and keeping everything organised and up to date isn't straightforward.
That's where the idea for Lineside came from — a dedicated website where photography locations can be properly organised and easily found.
The idea is to create a searchable map of photography spots, with useful information including access, parking, public transport, lighting conditions, safety notes and example photographs.
Photographers would be able to contribute their own locations, upload photographs and suggest updates to existing locations. Submissions would be reviewed before being published.
The website is already well into development, and I've attached a couple of screenshots showing the homepage and an example location page.
Before spending money getting it online, I'd like to gauge whether there's actually any interest in something like this.

A couple of questions:
Any feedback would be much appreciated!

A couple of questions:
- Would you use Lineside to discover photography locations?
- Would you be willing to contribute locations or example photographs?
- Is there anything you'd particularly like to see included?
Any feedback would be much appreciated!
