222602 is currently at Central Rivers since Monday after its lacklusture journey from Preston to Euston on Sunday evening.

Noticed it ran there from Ferme Park the other day, odd to have got a 222 up the ECML

Seen a Lumo 222 leaving Nuneaton for Euston yesterday at 13.48.
It looked really busy in all 6 coaches.
Big question of course is how many are new to rail and how many are using it as a cheaper alternative to Avanti?!

I guess anyone using it North of Carlisle, it provides new connections and anyone travelling to London from stations further South like Preston might be attracted by cheaper fares.

Had a brief journey on 222603 today, between Lockerbie and Motherwell and christ, what a state its in. Minor difference was seen with the reservation displays which now all say "PLEASE SIT IN YOUR RESERVED SEAT",
Apart from that there was plenty of issues, including 2 out of order toilets, two engines broken (one stuck idling not producing any traction, and another outright isolated) which it certainly struggled up beattock with, two carriages with broken AC.
Coach E certainly was the worst with the saloon sliding door kept open.. with tape, there were reservation panels also helt on with blue tape, lots of rattly panels too and with speaking to the onboard ambassador (I believe they are called that), only one PA handset was working throughout the entire train. Considering this unit only entered service in June after a refurb, It's shocking to see it in this state. Hopefully it gets a trip up to Central Rivers soon to get these faults fixed, because personally I loved these back in may, I think they're wonderful and comfortable unit but to see them back in this state is quite upsetting. Still could be worse I suppose (cough EMR/Hitachi)

Thing is, they can only have one in Central Rivers at a time, as otherwise they can't run the full service. Looks like 222605 went over this afternoon, and 222601 went into service, using a swap at Crewe.

From what I have heard the 222/6 has to split onto the 2 roads in the shed at CZ as the depot was designed 27 years ago for 4 car and5 car VOY and not 6 car Meridians. Not sure how often this happens

They aren't for the West Coast route, they're for the London to Carmarthen service and strengthening East Coast services. As I understand it any additional order won't come before 2030 if WCML track access is extended.
A friend travelled on 1S01 1019 Euston - Stirling on Thursday. 222601 to Crewe, where it was swapped for 222604 off Central Rivers due to a complete lack of working toilets onboard. My friend was not complimentary about the whole experience.
Less "Lumo" and more "Loo? No".

Concerning that this seems to have been a hallmark of the service from day 1.
