TransPennine Express is to receive in 2034 29 five-car battery electric Adessia Stream trains built by Alstom in Derby, DfT said tonight. Rock Rail will own the £1bn fleet which features level boarding and 3 wheelchair spaces, leasing it to TPE. Production starts in 2028.
