We had gone by car, and walked back to the car park instead of using the shuttle bus as it wasn't too far, so I don't know exactly what the deal with the buses was but there were a lot of Go North East double deckers lined up – I know some were running shuttles to the car park, and others were running shuttles to the town centre, there's no mention on the website of buses running to the station but there may have been some. Otherwise it's about 1½ miles walk from the park, or ¾ mile walk from the market place, or there is a bus from the market place to the railway station for people not up to walking that distance (most buses run from the bus station, but not the market place, meaning they don't intersect with the shuttle bus). So perhaps there may still be some room for improved coordination, but on the whole a big well done!
