No, because Greggs don't provide iced drinks. Avanti do provide first class, so not making it available to loyalty members when they say they will is a scam.

Greggs do provide iced drinks, but my local doesn't have room for the ice machine, so it's the same situation...

The point is, and I'm aware we're going around in circles here, loyalty schemes tend to benefit some more than others, you'd be making the journeys to earn the points anyway, so where is the scam?

Is it any difference to the older East Coast Rewards when you could claim a free journey, on some routes the availability was very limited at certain times of the day to the degree that you needed to be fast to grab one of the few tickets available for some of the busier services?

Just to double check before I attempt it. If I want to use my free ticket from one station and return to another I add both journeys to the basket then apply the code. Is that correct?

My free first ticket has dropped in, so for research purposes I ran some dummy bookings North Wales routes. There was no issue applying to mix a of itineraries to Holyhead, Llandudno and Bangor.

The SP gap still exists but the issues North Wales First have been fixed. With advances hovering around £300 this is good news!

I've done a couple of journeys this week and they haven't added to the tracker. Anyone else experiencing similar?

Same journey last week added to the counter so there is no issue with the journey length

Yeah I've noticed sometimes journeys don't always add to the tracker when you'd expect them too, I'm not sure if they are meant to count when you've booked them or after the actual journey, it seems a bit random.

Usually mine add the day following the journey. I'll give it till the end of this coming week and message if they haven't been added.

At one point they would add 24hrs or the day following that time period. For some reason at certain times they take longer to go through. It must be automated but it seems unusual that it would be so clunky.

Perhaps its database is getting a bit too cumbersome and it also (I would imagine) has to keep checks against whether the ticket was refunded before (or after!) travel.

I should be able to get another full set of firsts this year without having to resort to buying the cheapest ticket to get over the threshold.

This is a "feature" of many rewards programmes, particularly airlines.

Part of the game their side I guess, part genuine mistakes/bugs. Got to watch them like a hawk

Correct, it did not. My first year of Club Avanti I had a number of times booking 4 tickets in a day and all counted. I'm not sure when the Ts&Cs or the enforcement of them changed.

Yeah I've played the points game for years now so I like to think I'm quite well versed on it these days.

Glad to report however that everything has caught up again.
