Me neither , don't suppose there's any indication of when the sale period is? I'll be in work when it starts and it would be good to give some consideration to what I might use it for this evening
Starting at 09:00, I think, otherwise I don't know.

Also this has been posted on WNXX Forum: The Northern newspaper offer is soon to return for autumn with the ticket now branded as the "Off-Peak Northern Explorer" (as opposed to the Northern Explorer which is £35 and valid anytime). Should be going live from the 14th September for travel up to 22nd October.

Whilst it's still a good deal, I'm slightly annoyed that the only mostly-Northern journey I had planned, from Newcastle to the Eden Valley Railway, isn't covered as Tyne Valley sale tickets don't seem to be available on Sundays. Looking at York to Preston, there's no sale tickets on weekends at all for some routes.

Can't find any £2 tickets from SCN, is that because we're not included or am I not looking hard enough?
Found them SCN doesn't come up in the search link they offer but will in the "normal" Northern search and offer £2 tickets, might be similar for other locations

It's all a bit of a mess really. Travelling from Bramley West Yorks limits my ticket choice massively even though I'm only 3 miles from Leeds. Leeds gives me far more variety but even then return journeys are often full fare limiting the benefits between the offer and a flexible return. The fare for those 3 miles would be the same as or exceed the fare to anywhere that's available!

It is what it is I guess, but sadly not as much use as I'd hoped.

That’s the travel period. The sale period is just a few days - I don’t have the details to hand.
e mail i have had says - my bold

£2 tickets? Go on then...
Our Flash Sale is back, with 4 million tickets available for just £2 each*.

Whether you're planning a city break, catching up with friends or heading somewhere new, now's the time to bag a bargain.

But don't hang about. The sale ends on Friday 4 September at 5pm, and once the tickets are gone, they're gone!

Valid for travel between 9 September and 23 October 2026.

Thanks - that's handy - is the 14 sept the date for when vouchers are in the papers?

The travel window up until 22 Oct is not very long but I guess that's half term hols sort of date? For the autumn offer is that the usual validity period for the newspaper offer? The spring early summer one being a fair bit longer IIRC.

I don't know the exact details yet. I suspect 14th September to 22nd October are the dates for travel. As you say the offer ends before half term. That's normal for the autumn offer.

Many thanks - sometimes the vouchers seem to go in the papers a little bit before the start of the offer IIRC or co-terminus with it.

A quick look seems to mainly be showing the low fares on the early morning / late evening services.
For example:- on the 9th September the Leeds to Carlisle tickets are only showing as £2 for departures before 8am and then the later returns from Carlisle after 6pm.
Which is probably more useful if you are in Leeds but more difficult if you are having to get to / from Leeds. Am sure some people will find it helpful.
