About the Free Supermarket routes, i’m surprised that Sainsbury's still fund them i thought after other supermarkets stopped the free buses Sainsbury would follow suit but they haven’t any idea why

Translink 477 shuttle bus at Giant's Causeway is free for National Trust members or £1 otherwise. Its run by 2 Switch Optare Solo SR EVs and takes people from the Visitor Centre down to the famous Causeway.

A new contract for the Kingston University services starts next week. A fare of £1.20 is being introduced.
I don't think they fund nearly as many as they used to.
Ironically, the Halifax one they used to fund would now be far more useful - it used to be a short walk from the bus station to the supermarket, the two ends of the route,, but since the redesign of the bus station it's about 3 times as far as it used to be.
However, I think several of the roads it used to travel on may no longer be navigable.
One of the tiny operators in rural Oxfordshire has free travel on every service they operate - I assume council funded but don’t know for sure.
There are also loads of free services to campuses and offices, in theory they’re restricted to employees and visitors but in practice not all of them bother checking ID. Bedfont Lakes (near Heathrow/Hatton Cross) is one that’s essentially open.
Are RRBs in London still free, or have TfL found a way to charge for them now?

Bicester North to Bicester Village shuttle bus? I think its free but i don't know if you have to show a rail ticket.

The Chiltern Railways website says passengers have to pay a separate fare on the bus.

Ah ok, i thought it used to be advertised as free?
The FAQ is wrong though. Through tickets are available from several Chiltern stations, but they're not generally available online because the bus timetable isn't loaded for journey planners to use.
The relevant destination is H921 (Bicester Village via Shuttle Bus.)

It always quite fascinates me when small towns have a pretty extensive free bus service. I always wonder how it's justified, when there are plenty of bigger towns across the UK that go without.

Well, Sheffield still has 2 that circle the Shopping area.
Lyme Regis Town Council's budget is huge. No idea why, or indeed how. The population is around 4000, obviously increased by tourists.
Bridport, population around 14,000 has a lower budget.
When Lyme Regis had to repay almost £1m for overcharging (for years) for outdoor seating licenses, they had the money for it.(Presumably as they'd overcharged )

FYI, as of a few weeks ago, you need to tap or show a university card to use these services. Though as long as you're not using it regularly, the website says you can just tell the driver you don't have your card with you.
I may be imagining it but I'm sure I once took one of their uni hopper buses from East Midlands Airport, via Sutton Bonington Campus, to University Park. If I'm not dreaming that up, it seems that service is long gone!
These are of course now run by Nottingham City Transport, though only the 901, 903 and 906 remain.
When I was a student the only route was between Sutton Bonnington and University Park

It was a tap on system under Arriva for students.
While the notice about visitors is no longer on the universities website, it is still noted on the NCT website that visitors are permitted to use the bus, just tell the driver where you are going.
