Weardale Explorer charter - best spots around Shildon?

Anyone on here heading out for the Weardale Explorer tour when it comes through The bishop line?

I'm hoping to get some pictures of the steam loco coming past Shildon.

Where would you guys recommend setting up for the best view near here without getting in anyone's way?

There's a path that runs beside the railway from Shildon all the way to Newton Aycliffe so anywhere along there would be good. There is a bridge from that path that goes behind the Locomotion museum so that would be a good place too.

Go up Walkers Lane, Middridge, park car at end of lane and walk a couple of hundred yards there is a bridge over the line giving good views.
