Hi - have created an account with TPE - but not sure how you actually go about making a reservation for a journey using it - anyone got any pointers?
Never used TPE site before.

Once you are signed in go to the drop down menu over "Welcome Back" (top right).
Click "My Account" (first option on the drop down menu).
On the left side under My Tickets and Orders click "Make a Seat / Bike Reservation".
You should then see a blue and white Make a Seat reservation button, select this and follow the on screen steps for selecting the service/preferences.

Yes I have used it for services operated by Avanti West Coast, Cross Country, East Midlands Railway (before reservations were suspended), Grand Central, Great Western Railway and Hull Trains.
I have found it sometimes gives an error once you select make a seat / bike reservation, I have signed out and back in on a different web browser and it worked fine so you may want to try this.

I had issues on Wednesday where the website was showing no reservations available for a GWR service but the app was able to book one just fine.

Alternatively you can just send them a WhatsApp message. They need a screenshot of your ticket but they normally sort out a reservation in a matter of seconds.

Trying the TPE link for some Avanti journeys later in April, they all say "it is not possible to reserve a seat on this service" and the option is greyed out. Only bike reservations are available.

It definitely works for Avanti (I did it last week) so these are probably "sold out".

Have you tried in an alternative web browser as occasionally I have had issues but logging out and back in on a different web browser has worked.

They have now reinstated this feature. It still gives you the eticket option but when you click it, it says this cannot be opened as it is just a seat reservation. Not sure how it took nearly 4 months to disable one button but at least it is back.

So amusingly, you can still download the E-Ticket (it still exists) if you try a bit harder, but you then get this:
