ENCTS travel in Bristol - confusion

I am moving to Bristol to read medicine after teaching for 14 years. I’m having a look on the Bristol.gov site to see if they are giving free travel to ENCTS disabled pass holders as some other cities are, however there are a couple of contrasting statements.

if it's a disabled persons' pass, at any time of day on journeys starting within Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2029

Recently I had to check out similiar information on Suffolk and Leicestershire websites which were helpful. Am I right in thinking that from April 2027 the pass will be avlid at all times? Just checked this is from the Blue Badge website, hope it helps a bit

The Old Rules (Before April 2027)​

Disabled bus passes in England were time-restricted. You could use your pass:

  • From 09:30 until 23:00 on weekdays (Monday to Friday)
  • At any time on weekends and bank holidays
This meant that early morning journeys to work, late evening appointments, and social events were off-limits for free travel - even though people with disabilities may have had even greater need for accessible transport during those times.

The New Rules (From April 2027)​

Disabled bus passes will now be valid at any time of day, every day of the week. No restrictions. No barriers. Just free travel whenever you need it.

The first statement applies to disabled cards; the second statement to standard ENCTS cards.

Some places are doing a ‘trial’ to see what the uptake is like. Leeds, for example, already allow blind pass holders to travel free at all hours and have extended that to disabled ENCTS holders.

From 1 April 2027, people who hold a disabled bus pass can travel on buses for free, no matter the time of day. This extra support will help to open up access to workplaces, education, training, and other opportunities as well as giving people breathing space on the cost of living and putting money back in people’s pockets.

I didn't either, because I'm not familiar with the term 'ENCTS', but having Googled it, it includes my '60+' (Senior) pass. It has a blue panel on the right hand side, whereas a disabled person's card has an orange panel.

So I’ve just found out today, rather awkwardly, that my companion pass only works in WYMetro area because of funding. Will my WY ENCTS pass aspect still work in Bristol 24/7 even though it’s a Bristol-funded arrangement?
