So, I wonder, will 701528 and 701529 be the last two 701/5s in service just like 701028 & 701029 !.
(in reallity perhaps more likely to be the first 701/5s).

Perhaps someone overheard the MD say "yeah leave 28 and 29 alone over there for training"
but mis-understood which sub class was being referred to o_O.

387216 and 387217 have been together on Gatwick Expresses of late.

I feel able to say that GX pairings are random and this is unlikely to be deliberate - almost all are random.... unusual to have two red ones on a GX!!

Know this thread is more for passenger workings, but who says they should have all the fun ;) On today's North Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire etc. Rail Head Treatment Train (headcode 3S14), 66847 and 66848 are doing the honours.

195105 and 195106 are on Windermere branch duties today. (Or, more accurately, were, since they're now off to Manchester Airport.)

387204 is with 387208 and 387209 on a Victoria to Brighton via Littlehampton diagram. 12 car 387s are very rare on the Arun Valley.
