Footbridge at Leominster station query

When i was at Leominster last week i noticed the long footbridge which carries a footpath across the line next to the station is missing. I read online that it was apparently taken down due to being unsafe (was it going rusty or something?) so i assume it will be replaced. Does anyone know when a new bridge will be in place and will it be a metal bridge like the old one or a different kind of structure?

I don't know many details, but it was taken down a couple of months ago. As far as I know, it's gone for refurbishment and will return. Unfortunately I can't give any timescales as I don't know myself!

The footbridge was removed around 11th April. The plan was to shot blast and repaint it then put it back. The original date for reinstatement was 4th July with the footpath to reopen on 20th July.
Obviously those dates have been missed. The footpath closure notice gives the 6th October as the last day of closure.

Thanks for the replies, look forward to seeing the refurbished bridge next time i'm there (hopefully within a year or so).
