Recommendations for model railway magazine/s (UK).

Hi all,

Can anyone please recommend any UK model railway magazines that I can find in TG Jones (WHSmith) or supermarkets?

I enjoy BRM occasionally too but if it’s in a cellophane wrapper with any hint of extras, check the price as it can be way more than the regular £6.99.

Railway Modeller is basically the Church of England of model magazines. Maybe not the most dynamic or exciting but reassuring and predictable.

To think of the difference between the magazine of the 50's & the 80's when he left it

Indeed! His influence on model railway publishing and the hobby in general was immense. In any other field he would have been honoured with a MBE or an OBE surely. I am a lucky owner of a full set of bound RMs covering "the Freezer years" and I still refer to them not just for nostalgic reasons.
