No Sunday service between Lostock Junction and Crows Nest Junction?

Does anyone know why there isn't a Sunday service between Lostock Junction and Crows Nest Junction (Bolton to Wigan) before Christmas 2026?
Services are operating from Wigan Wallgate to Salford Crescent.

Is that the route via Westhoughton? Possibly still no Sunday rail service (infrequent rail replacement buses operating, every two hours) due to a shortage of conductors on the Northern network?

Thank you, as I couldn't think of any engineering reason, my next thought was staff shortage.

Correct, that's what it states on Northern's website.

Indeed, but I didn't want to be pedantic, it was named after the nearby Crow Nest farm, which has now been re-named Crows Nest farm to confuse matters.
Last time I went the signal box was gone sadly, part of Manchester ROC now.

Its actually in Piccadilly SCC, not the ROC.
