(20)955 is out on its first X46 run , bustimes edited by a fellow user got declined so if anyone could snap it that'll be fab, enters hull at 2PM.
That's good to hear. I was concerned that the frequent breakdowns last year would put people off this year but evidently not. It seems to have been going well (so far) although the same can't be said for the Compass services.96 came out on the M1/M3 yesterday as 97 was required for other duties - was agreed by one and all to be nicer then 97 in terms of seating as the hard fabric seats have sometimes got strange lumps under them whereas 96 has leather seats though it had no power sockets
Also happened to have 71 people on so the service is well used/busy
I think the sudden up tick is people on annual leave which happened about the same time last year and also more kids - quite a few on this week though not paying of courseThat's good to hear. The flexibility of the service running on every day of the weekend probably also helps the increase of passenger numbers.I think the sudden up tick is people on annual leave which happened about the same time last year and also more kids - quite a few on this week though not paying of course
As an aside, I know this is for EYMS, but can I welcome York Pullman to the Moorsbus Breakdown Club after their M6 had issues that required the bus being replaced and a round trip cancelled. As soon as the M1/M3 driver got off the bus for their break, the YP guy said "Hey... I've joined your lot!" to which our driver and several veterans had a wry laugh
That’s what happens when you shove coach drivers on service workThe flexibility of the service running on every day of the weekend probably also helps the increase of passenger numbers.
As for Compass, buses regularly breakdown, destination blinds only read "Moorsbus" not the route number or destination, buses leave timing points up to 20 minutes early sometimes (like yesterday, the 11:09 M4 from Sutton Bank left at 10:55, or another time the M3 from Guisborough to Stockton left 20 minutes early). To make matters worse, drivers aren't confident in using the ticket machine, which explains lapses in tracking and people being issued the wrong tickets. Tracking shows a coach on the M5, obviously its not actually a coach but its ridiculous.
It would've been better had Arriva also operated the Saturday service as well as the Sunday service. Compass sent a bus over the Moors on Good Friday, when Moorsbus runs to a Sunday timetable yet Compass only runs on the Saturday timetable. Its a mess. I appreciate the enhanced Saturday offering but I think an operator that is more experienced on service work would've provided a much better service. That’s what happens when you shove coach drivers on service work
Are they using the same blinds as the rest of the GA group? Surprised if they can only manage to get M0 as an optionThe flexibility of the service running on every day of the weekend probably also helps the increase of passenger numbers.

They should be using the same blinds as the rest of EY. I suppose that destination blinds haven't had the M3 to Guisborough, M4, M5 or M8 programmed which is poor from EY. The services started in April, it's now August, EY really should've gotten on top of this. Are they using the same blinds as the rest of the GA group? They still haven't got timetables on their website for the 30 & 61/61A that started 2 weeks ago!
Well it only took them 2 weeks after the services launched! I'd expect better from Go Ahead group! Hardly something to glorify!Wroooooooooong!

Have been up long before lauch I used them to ride around on launch day!Well it only took them 2 weeks after the services launched!
The timetables were only up on Metro's website before launch. EY has only just put them on their website In the last few days.Have been up long before lauch I used them to ride around on launch day!
No no no.. I used the EY website on the first Monday. Fact. The timetables were only up on Metro's website before launch. EY has only just put them on their website In the last few days.
They're not on the Go Ahead West Yorkshire section of EY's website...No no no.. I used the EY website on the first Monday. Fact.
I just typed in the search box on the timetables page came up.They're not on the Go Ahead West Yorkshire section of EY's website...
That's the only way they come up. They're not on the General timetables page when you scroll through all of the services and They're not listed under Go Ahead West Yorkshire section. Not easy to find by any means.I just typed in the search box on the timetables page came up.
So children in a handful of areas.I've got a challenge for you, which I think is very fair. So one Friday night when ever you're free, visit the following Leeds suburbs and report back how many good interactions you have with those you say shouldn't be tarnished. Belle Isle, the rougher parts of Middleton (Thorpe Lane etc) and Beeston Hill, then on Saturday night visit Gipton, Seacroft and Swarcliffe. I look forward to your change of mind lol.
Dont know I always use the search box always worked for me.That's the only way they come up. They're not on the General timetables page when you scroll through all of the services and They're not listed under Go Ahead West Yorkshire section. Not easy to find by any means.
Its not great if you're searching Go Ahead West Yorkshire on Google, as it will link to the section on EY's website without the timetables for the 30 & 61/61A. Instead, links to the timetables on Metro's website come up, which most people will use anyway.Dont know I always use the search box always worked for me.
Oh right, like I say did what works for me and was 100 spot on.Its not great if you're searching Go Ahead West Yorkshire on Google, as it will link to the section on EY's website without the timetables for the 30 & 61/61A. Certainly some of the buses have destinations programmed in for Moorsbus, certainly B7RLE KJZ 13 does, also seen a pic of one of the 'East Yorkshire Buses' Evolutions at Castle Howard showing the M8 destinations, also the 73 between Northallerton and Bedale is programmed on at least one Evolution, so all (or most) local routes should be in the list too - can't imagine all the swapping and changing round of vehicles between divisions helps either, just looks a mess at times. They should be using the same blinds as the rest of EY. I believe all vehicles within the EY Group have destination blinds programmed for all routes. I was on an Evolution on the M4 that displayed "Moorsbus" and was once on an E200 on the M4 that didn't even have a destination blind turned on!Certainly some of the buses have destinations programmed in for Moorsbus, certainly B7RLE KJZ 13 does, also seen a pic of one of the 'East Yorkshire Buses' Evolutions at Castle Howard showing the M8 destinations, also the 73 between Northallerton and Bedale is programmed on at least one Evolution, so all (or most) local routes should be in the list too - can't imagine all the swapping and changing round of vehicles between divisions helps either, just looks a mess at times.
Yes, but what's the point in having a dedicated West Yorkshire section of the website if it only has *some* of the timetables?Oh right, like I say did what works for me and was 100 spot on.

Yes, just for bus routes. That's why coaches often have a slip of paper in the window on the Tesco 900 contract, they aren't all programmed for coaching. Is that just for bus routes?
Could somebody, for example, get on 705 and attempt to put 561 on the front?
Only took them about 6 months to do so.

Clearly hasn't been a priority for them. They've had the electrics, former GNE Hybrids, new E400 MMCs for the X46, Evoras for X98/X99, etc to get into service.Only took them about 6 months to do so
Someone had taken the time to programme the Moorsbus logo into the system but not the actual route number and destination. Even putting a paper slip in the front window would be better than just displaying Moorsbus. If drivers could be relied on to wind a roller blind to show the right route number etc then I would have thought digital displays ought to be able to be overridden to allow the driver to set the display to shoe say M4 Service (as allowing the driver free text could be asking for trouble). Take as step further and if someone arranged a method for linking the ticket machine to the display preprogramming displays would not be less necessary as they would be driven by the ticket machine.
