Hi All
Anybody know when 185111 will be in Cleethorpes as wanting to see the new wrap it has on the front for Andy’s Man Club men’s mental health

If you put the number into Realtime trains' quick search feature each day, it will tell you what it's working. One day it will end up in Cleethorpes I'm sure.

The compamny I work for is a supporter of ANDY'SMANCLUB, a suicide prevention charity for men. As a result I always like to see 185111 trundling past my apartment on it's way into/out of Manchester with it's Andy'smanclub vinyl wraps when on Cleethropres - Liverpool turns. However it has not been out since 23rd June. Is it poorly?

If you look at the last run it had and the cancellation reason given:


It looks like it may have been the leading unit involved in an incident shall we say. I suspect it'll be in for whatever repairs are required.

For those without access to RTT+, the link shows a TPE service suddenly losing a considerable amount of time in the East Didsbury area before being cancelled at Manchester Piccadilly.

If it’s the unit I’m thinking of it sustained heavy damage at the front end and had issues with TPWS equipment during the rescue.

Transpennine’s Andy’s Man Club livery Class 185 (185111) haven’t been in service for OVER 2 months.

NOTE: I haven’t seen the train in real life before but I have seen small amount of videos of it on Youtube. I only check this train on Real Life Trains.

It looks like that if you just type in the individual unit ‘185111’ on real time trains at least once, it did say nothing meaning the train is not in service. It is no longer in service since somewhere late June.

The individual unit ‘185111’ a Class 185 that carries the special livery that represents Andy’s Man Club(a Male Suicide Prevention organisation). It is kinda weird how it is not in service for over 2 months. What are people going to do to this individual unit?Screenshot 2026-09-05 at 18.52.45.png

It was involved in a fatality on 23rd June. There is likely some lasting damage that will need to be repaired so it should be back soon.

Does anybody have an update about return to service for 185111? Will it still be in AndymansClub vinyls? It has been 11 weeks!

It's waiting much more than just parts. Repair processes that have never previously been needed for the class are having to be developed.

Out of interest what are these repair processes and are we any nearer of it being fixed? I'm not well up on processes and this side of the railways to be honest.

It all depends on the level of damage the unit sustained.
I have known units that have needed whole new cabs, sometimes they need to remove the whole cab end and put on the replacement cab end. Also sometimes the safety cell can be damaged, and they need to strip right back with the train builders help.

if the class has any spare cab shells then they will be used if not, they would need to wait for one to be produced and delivered.
