East Yorkshire 747 reverses in Bishop Wilton using a three point maneuver.

Coastliner 840 reverses at the roundabout by Mallyan Spout Hotel to return through the village of Goathland to the A169.

First Aberdeen’s Service 19 reverses into its Culter terminus, due to the road at Johnston Gardens East being a dead end.

Coastliner 843 performs a reversing maneuver in Scagglethorpe. However, it only does this in the Leeds direction as it remains on the A64 in the Scarborough direction and doesn't enter the village.

South West Coaches CR5 Dorchester to Yeovil reverses at Charlton Down to go back in the direction it came (using a slightly different route?)

First Wessex 12 Weymouth to Littlesea Holiday Park reverses to turn around after dropping off passengers at the park to go to the departure bus stop, although no passengers at this point. There is a roundabout but it's probably too small and there is usually a caravan dumped around it so is generally out of use.

Might also be a reverse on the First Wessex CR6 Bridport to Yeovil at Broadwindsor

Likewise, Transport UK service G1 (Streatham - Battersea, Shaftesbury Estate) does a reverse at the Battersea end. Wickersley Road, where it terminates, is a cul-de-sac.

Falcon Buses 39A and 39B Woking shopper buses reverse twice into side roads to turn at the end residential no through roads - once on Bingham Drive and again on Robin Hood Road.

The 39C variant of the above has one mid-route reverse, on Clayton Road in Horsell.

White Bus 48 reverses in Pirbright Camp on Slade Road, on the edge of the army barracks (buses used to run through the barracks to reach Deepcut many years ago, but that practice was stopped and buses instead turn to use the public roads through the woodland). For most journeys this is ther terminus, but the first and last trips extend from/to Frimley Park Hospital, making this a mid-route turn.

The Falcon 690 school route also makes the above mid-route Pirbright turn, and coincidentally is the same bus that makes all the 39A/B/C turns described above between its school runs on the 690! So that bus and driver will be doing up to 12 mostly tight in-service reverse turns a shift on Mon/Wed/Fri, usually in a 10.8m Enviro during term time due to the 39A/B/C interworking with the 690.

Reptons Coaches 571/572 Spelthorne shopper buses reverse into a side road at the end of no through road Boundary Road in Ashford to turn around mid-route. Their 574 also serves this point, but only as a terminus point.

I don't know if it strictly counts, but airside buses for the BA A380s tend to reverse from the aircraft if they use a remote stand at Heathrow rather then turn away

The Todmorden and Hebden Bridge minibus networks still have a few, although less than previously:

T2 at Longfield and T4 at Woodhouse Grove.

596 at Blackshaw Head and (I assume?) Smithy Lane on short journeys, and the 598 at both Fairfield and Eaves.

901A journeys that terminate at Cragg Vale.

Service X91 between Bristol and Ubley reverses by the Clocktower at East Harptree. Except when I last rode it a few months ago with Eurocoaches on an Enviro 200, the driver wasn't comfortable about reversing and instead detoured round a series of narrow roads to rejoin the route.

One from the history books. Prior to its withdrawal in October 2023, several journeys on Travelsure service 34 (Duns - Eyemouth - Berwick) involved a reverse at Priorswalk, Coldingham.

For a really hair-raising one try the TITSA bus to Anaga on Tenerife. When we did it they ran to a small car park at the end of a very narrow mountain spine and (before you got off) reversed to the edge of the car park with only kerbstones against a terrific drop before moving forward to the stop! We were sat at the back and it has been etched into my mind ever since...
(I think we went to the terminus, or this could have been an intermediate stop en route.)

Following on from my Tonbridge example in post #21, a few more Kent examples that come to mind:

- Arriva 133 and Kent Country 417 require a three-point-turn at Cliffe; driver choice how they do it, with or without passengers on board.

- Arriva 191 reverses at Kingsmead Caravan Park, Allhallows (as did the 192 last summer), and again at Grain. The latter is again driver choice whether they drop passengers off first or not. Hoo Marina 191 journeys are usually doable with a wide swing, but some drivers prefer to reverse.

- Arriva 155 and Nu-Venture 135 (evenings) reverse to turn at Borstal, but this is usually a no-passenger movement. Not at the moment, though, as the road is closed for a month.

- Nu-Venture 151 journeys that serve Upper Halling reverse at Browndens Road.

Technically Stagecoach East Mids also has the 10 to Wawne as it reverses into the last bus stop at Wawne so anyone alighting there could still be on board.

Manchester route 42B reverses at its terminus, Davenport Arms in Woodford, although I believe it's officially out of service when it does so.

Perhaps a candidate for the most frequent route to include a reversal? At one point in recent memory it was every 10 minutes, though it seems to be one of First's favourite routes to chop and change, and I believe it's been cut fairly significantly since then, seems to now be 15 mins on weekdays.

Go ahead West Yorkshire 571 (Shelf-Brighouse-Halifax) service requires a reverse manoeuvre at Southowram, though occasionally some drivers can turn around in one without the need to reverse.

Similarly, the former 1a service to Bolsover had to spin around at the bottom of Charlesworth Street. A careful driver could clear the turn in one in an Enviro200 or a MAN Enviro300. The long Enviro200 MMCs we had couldn't, and had to reverse. There were some incidents on bin day with bins being cleared out by the tailswing of a turning MAN. Good times.

While no longer operating the Avon Coaches 83A Arrowe Park Hospital - Meols Station used to have to reverse on the Carr Lane Estate in Hoylake
Also the Merseytravel 138 Meols - West Kirby Circular, along with the 181 Hoylake Carr Lane - Leasowe at the time when they operated many years ago

One example is the new 65 bus in Thornbury where it reverses into Manor Walk then continues it's journey.
Until May this year sometimes the H13 would have to reverse if Ruislip station forecourt was full
(So recently that the TFL app still lists the H13 as serving Ruislip although it bypasses it)
